Getting Married at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala

There’s a moment that happens at every World Equestrian Center wedding we’ve planned — usually somewhere between the ceremony ending and the reception doors opening — where we watch a couple walk through those grounds and realize they can’t quite believe this is their actual wedding day.

The scale of it is breathtaking. The stone chapel nestled under the oak canopy. The hotel rising behind the Grand Arena. The way the late-afternoon Florida light lands on the equestrian grounds. WEC doesn’t feel like a typical wedding venue. It feels like a destination — one that happens to be right here in Ocala.

Blessed Magnolia has had the privilege of planning more than a dozen weddings at the World Equestrian Center, and every single one has been its own experience. The venue offers so many distinct spaces — and so many moving parts — that having a planner who genuinely knows the property makes a real difference. This post is for couples who are considering WEC for their wedding and want to understand what thoughtful planning looks like at this venue.

The Wedding Spaces at World Equestrian Center — A Planner’s Overview

WEC offers several distinct venues on property. Here’s what each one is like in practice, from someone who’s worked them all:

Space	Best For / Planner Notes
The Stone Chapel	Ceremonies up to 125 guests. Nestled in the oak canopy — dramatic, intimate, and genuinely unlike any other ceremony space in Central Florida. Natural shade is a gift for Florida summer weddings.
Oak-Canopy Garden	Outdoor ceremonies and receptions up to 300 guests. The towering oaks create a canopy effect that photographs beautifully at any time of day. One of the most requested spaces on the property.
The Rose Garden	Intimate outdoor space at The Equestrian Hotel — ideal for smaller ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, or wedding showers. Surrounded by teacup rose bushes.
The Stirrups Terrace	Covered outdoor terrace at The Equestrian Hotel with views over the Grand Arena. Works beautifully for cocktail hours and open-air receptions.
The Paris Room	Indoor space at The Equestrian Hotel, seats up to 40. Elegant and intimate — perfect for rehearsal dinners or small reception parties.
The Equestrian Manor	WEC’s newest addition (opened 2026). Over 303,000 sq ft of versatile indoor and outdoor space — now one of the most capable large-event venues in Central Florida.
Miss Rosie’s Bridal Suite	Exclusive getting-ready suite with elegant décor, natural light, and a walkout terrace. Spacious enough for the whole bridal party to prepare together comfortably.

What Wedding Planning at WEC Actually Looks Like

“The World Equestrian Center isn’t a venue you just show up to on your wedding day. It’s a property you learn — the flow of the grounds, the timing of the light, the way guests move between spaces. The couples who have the most effortless experience there are the ones whose planner already knows how the day unfolds.”

Here’s what experience at this venue has taught our team:

Logistics require a planner who knows the property

WEC is expansive. Guests need clear direction moving between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception — especially if those spaces are in different parts of the property. Timeline coordination with the venue’s own team, valet, catering, and your outside vendors requires clear communication and someone who’s done it before. On a multi-space wedding day, the difference between guests feeling guided and guests feeling lost is almost entirely in the planning.

Vendor coordination is a full job on its own

WEC has preferred vendors and its own culinary and event team — plus most couples bring in additional vendors for florals, photography, entertainment, and more. Part of our job is making sure every person who shows up on that day knows exactly where to be, when, and what to expect from each other. We handle that communication so you don’t have to.

The property rewards couples who plan for the whole experience

One of the things we love most about WEC is that it genuinely gives guests somewhere to be. The hotel, the dining, the grounds — couples who think beyond just the ceremony and reception and plan the whole weekend create something their guests talk about for years. We help our couples think through every layer of the experience, not just the day-of timeline.

“Some venues need a planner. The World Equestrian Center rewards one. The couples who arrive with a planner who knows this property don’t just have a smoother day — they have a completely different experience of it.”

Frequently Asked Questions: Weddings at the World Equestrian Center

Does the World Equestrian Center in Ocala host weddings?

Yes. The World Equestrian Center — Ocala is one of Central Florida’s premier wedding venues, offering multiple indoor and outdoor spaces across its 378-acre property. Do I need a wedding planner if I’m getting married at the World Equestrian Center?

WEC has an in-house event team that manages venue logistics and property-specific details. However, that team works for the venue — not exclusively for you. A wedding planner like Blessed Magnolia works entirely on your behalf: coordinating your outside vendors, managing your personal timeline, communicating with the WEC team, and making sure your vision is executed the way you intended it. The two roles are complementary, and most couples who want a truly personal and effortless experience at WEC benefit from having both.
